Caporta
Descrizione 
Se si entra da sud, si attraversa la Caporta, una delle due antiche porte d’ingresso al paese preservata dagli abbattimenti di metà Ottocento. È sormontata dallo stemma civico e dall’arme araldica di Giovan Battista delli Monti, il feudatario che intorno ai primi del Cinquecento dotò il paese di un valido sistema difensivo. Sulla cornice superiore il motto “INVIDIA INOPIA FA” invitava, e invita ancora oggi, a non avere invidia di tutto ciò che la cinta muraria racchiudeva al suo interno. Un breve tratto delle antiche mura si innesta sul fianco sinistro della porta.

If you enter from the south, cross the Caporta, one of the two ancient entrance gates to the village preserved by the felling of the mid-nineteenth century. It is surmounted by the civic coat of arms and heraldic arm of Giovan Battista delli Monti, the feudal lord who around the beginning of the sixteenth century gave the town a valid defensive system. On the upper frame the motto "ENVY INOPIA FA" invited, and still invites today, not to have envy of everything that the walls encased inside. A short stretch of the ancient walls is nes on the left side of the door.
