Parrocchia "Maria ss.ma del Rosario"

Adiacente all’ex convento dei Domenicani ( oggi sede del Municipio di Martano ) fu costruita nel 1652. Il prospetto si presenta elegante e delicato, sul portone di ingresso vi è una statua raffigurante San Domenico di Guzman, che insieme alla Madonna dell’Assunta, è il Santo Patrono del Paese. L’interno è a croce latina con tre navate, di cui le due laterali ospitano tre altari, tutti in stile Barocco e altri due altari sono presenti nel transetto. Nella navata di destra possiamo ammirare la statua della Vergine del Rosario e un altare risalente al 1741, un altro altare consacrato all’Arcangelo Michele e un terzo altare con ai lati le statue di San Giacinto e San Vincenzo. Spostandosi lungo la navata sinistra si incontra un altare con al centro una tela raffigurante la Circoncisione di Cristo, ad opera del pittore neretino Antonio Donato D’Orlando. Gli altri due altari, sono in perfetto stile barocco e presentano due statue laterali, due delle quali raffiguranti rispettivamente Santa Lucia e Santa Caterina D’Alessandria.

Adjacent to the former Dominican convent (now the seat of the Town Hall of Martano) it was built in 1652. The façoil is elegant and delicate, on the front door there is a statue depicting Saint Dominic of Guzman, who together with our Lady of the Assumption, is the patron saint of the country. The interior is a Latin cross with three naves, of which the due lateralshouse threealtars, all in baroque style and two other altars are present in the transept. In the right aisle we can admire the statue of the Virgin of the Rosary and an altar dating back to 1741,another altarconsecrated to the Archangel Michael and a third altar with on the sides the statues of St. Hyacinth and St. Vincent. Moving along the left aisle you will find an altar with a canvas in the center depicting the Circumcision of Christ, by the Neretino painter Antonio Donato D'Orlando. The other two altars, are in perfect Baroque style and have two side statues, two of which depict Saint Lucia and St. Catherine of Alexandria respectively.
